Dr Ross Brisco

Dr Ross Brisco is a Lecturer in the Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management at the University of Strathclyde. His research spans design engineering education, computer-supported collaborative design, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in design, strategic technology selection, and product design and realisation. His work explores how people, methods and digital tools can support more effective, responsible and collaborative design practice across education and industry.

Profile

Dr Megan Flus

Dr Meagan Flus is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management at the University of Strathclyde. Her research explores collaborative design, design cognition and engineering design education, with a particular focus on hackathons as settings for studying design activity. She is especially interested in team dynamics, expertise and conflict, examining how disagreement can be understood and used constructively to support creative outcomes in collaborative design.

Profile

Dr Laura Hay

Dr Laura Hay is a Lecturer in the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. Her research interests span design cognition, creativity, product design, sustainability and the use of neuroimaging to study design activity. Her work examines how designers think and generate ideas, alongside the development of design-led and systems-oriented approaches that help organisations address complex social, environmental and industrial challenges.

Profile

Dr Freddie Holliman

Dr Freddie Holliman is a Lecturer in Design within the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. His research interests include product and industrial design, engineering design education, design project planning and management, generative artificial intelligence, and design sketching. He also applies design-led research to humanitarian and crisis-response contexts, examining how design methods can contribute to more adaptable products, operational processes, policy and professional practice.

Profile

Dr Tijana Vuletic

Dr Tijana Vuletic is a Lecturer in Mechanical Design within the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on computer-aided engineering design, including the integration of digital tools across the product lifecycle and the application of emerging technologies to conceptual design and form creation. She has particular interests in gesture-based interaction, design cognition and complex systems engineering, including data, information, knowledge and risk management.
